We appreciate our librarians at West Noble, and the work they do to keep our minds moving, our curiosity peaking, and our knowledge expanding.
Thank you, librarians!
Thank you, librarians!

They aren't in the classroom today, so to speak, but they are vital to how our classrooms function. And they are a Godsend to our teachers who have the opportunity to work with them.
Thank you, paraprofessionals!

A new positive initiative West Noble is putting into practice is something superintendent Dr. Lowe is endorsing as "Spotlight on Success". This recognizes entities of our school corporation who are going above and beyond to make West Noble a great place to learn and grow. This actually began in January in highlighting Hank Willems and the Work Based Learning program, and in February with our Student Resource Officers Chris Shearer and Grant Moser.
This past Monday at the school board meeting, the Technology Department for West Noble School Corporation was the Spotlight, showcasing not only the roles of the five whom work within, but some of the programs and perks that help our students and staff function at a high level, in and out of the classroom. Congrats to director Mike Burke and his staff on being March's Spotlight on Success!

Sometimes it just takes a first impression.
That was the case for Bella Barnes, who put on a show good enough on senior night to impress Huntington University into a spot in its cheerleading program.
Barnes is just the third cheerleader in the past eight years to sign a college letter of intent. Hear from Bella, her coach and the Huntington coach who just had to get a live look herself at the link below:

West Noble's performing arts were the benefactor of a set of financial donations today.
Staff member Amy Church provided private donations to each of the music, choir and Theatre33 programs at West Noble. Church, a veteran of marching band herself, was happy to present the checks to each of the program directors - Sarah Sponseller for choir, Chris and Moorea Douglas for band, and Nic Weimer for Theatre33.
Thank you to Amy for her generosity!

West Noble students hit the road to Allen County this week.
Sra. Bartlett's high school Spanish classes had the chance to see an authentic Flamenco dance performance at the Presbyterian Theater in downtown Fort Wayne. Meanwhile, the fourth graders visited the Embassy Theater in just down the road in Fort Wayne to take in the Taiko Project, a Japanese-American drum ensemble, which allowed some of West Noble's students and staff to actually partake in the action onstage.
West Noble will have a couple additional stops in Fort Wayne in the coming week, stay tuned!
