Welcome back to the grind! Hope your spring break was relaxing, whether you were out of town or just home holding it down in the 260.
To start off the week, the US Army brought its virtual tour equipment to West Noble High School for a little on-site, hands-on recruiting. The tour showed off some of the different divisions of the Army, including paratrooping, aviation, ground combat and intelligence.
Thank you to the US Army for stopping by campus and showing us what's possible!

We appreciate our librarians at West Noble, and the work they do to keep our minds moving, our curiosity peaking, and our knowledge expanding.
Thank you, librarians!

They aren't in the classroom today, so to speak, but they are vital to how our classrooms function. And they are a Godsend to our teachers who have the opportunity to work with them.
Thank you, paraprofessionals!

Quick update from the Hoosier State Relays State Meet.
West Noble had representation in two events at Saturday’s finals in Indianapolis, Gimena Aguilar in the 60-meter dash and the 4x800 relay team.
Aguilar moved up 12 spots from her qualifying position to finish 11th at 8.12 seconds. Kudos to Fairfield’s Emma Walter, who won the state title with a 7.59.
The 4x800 relay team of Lanie Martin, Lynden Chordas, Karla Dominguez and Trinity Parson were competitive with its time of 10:18.65, landing 12th overall. Fort Wayne Concordia set the meet record with its championship time of 9:15.01, a full 11 seconds better than the standard that held for 13 years.
The Lady Chargers and the boys program both open its spring NECC season with a home meet Tuesday, April 7, with Garrett.

A new positive initiative West Noble is putting into practice is something superintendent Dr. Lowe is endorsing as "Spotlight on Success". This recognizes entities of our school corporation who are going above and beyond to make West Noble a great place to learn and grow. This actually began in January in highlighting Hank Willems and the Work Based Learning program, and in February with our Student Resource Officers Chris Shearer and Grant Moser.
This past Monday at the school board meeting, the Technology Department for West Noble School Corporation was the Spotlight, showcasing not only the roles of the five whom work within, but some of the programs and perks that help our students and staff function at a high level, in and out of the classroom. Congrats to director Mike Burke and his staff on being March's Spotlight on Success!

Sometimes it just takes a first impression.
That was the case for Bella Barnes, who put on a show good enough on senior night to impress Huntington University into a spot in its cheerleading program.
Barnes is just the third cheerleader in the past eight years to sign a college letter of intent. Hear from Bella, her coach and the Huntington coach who just had to get a live look herself at the link below:

West Noble's performing arts were the benefactor of a set of financial donations today.
Staff member Amy Church provided private donations to each of the music, choir and Theatre33 programs at West Noble. Church, a veteran of marching band herself, was happy to present the checks to each of the program directors - Sarah Sponseller for choir, Chris and Moorea Douglas for band, and Nic Weimer for Theatre33.
Thank you to Amy for her generosity!

West Noble students hit the road to Allen County this week.
Sra. Bartlett's high school Spanish classes had the chance to see an authentic Flamenco dance performance at the Presbyterian Theater in downtown Fort Wayne. Meanwhile, the fourth graders visited the Embassy Theater in just down the road in Fort Wayne to take in the Taiko Project, a Japanese-American drum ensemble, which allowed some of West Noble's students and staff to actually partake in the action onstage.
West Noble will have a couple additional stops in Fort Wayne in the coming week, stay tuned!

Saturday night was one of optimism and entertainment at Stone's Hill Church as Turning Point held its annual Night of Hope fundraiser. An evening of good food, good company and good vibes encompassed great testimonials, great entertainment, and hearts full of hope in support of Turning Point Education Center. The fundraiser, which had special guest speaker, West Noble and Turning Point graduate Abel Zamarippa, also saw the live and silent auctions bring in over $31,000, which eclipsed last year's total by over $2,000. The night concluded with live entertainment from the Mobile Dueling Pianos. Thank you to all who attended and helped coordinate the overwhelmingly successful event!

The final page of the story that was the 2026 West Noble gymnastics season was read on Saturday. Freshman Allie Haro and sophomore Neveah Patrick both competed as individuals at the Huntington Gymnastics Regional to round out the season schedule.
Patrick worked on bars, finishing with a 5.325 while Haro scored 8.05 on vault and 6.975 on floor, none of the scores high enough to qualify for next weekend's IHSAA State Finals.
The appearances from Haro and Patrick were the first by a West Noble gymnast since Heather Jacobs competed on beam in the 2008 regional.
Congrats on the duo for making some history and a great season overall!
