Add another championship trophy to the fall sports shelf!
Finally getting the sectional monkey off their backs, West Noble volleyball ran past Columbia City, 3-0, in the semi-finals and then beat Fairfield by the same score in the championship of the West Noble Volleyball Sectional!
Winning its first sectional in eight years, West Noble cruised in the semis against the Eagles, but ran into a confident Fairfield side in the title showdown. An early lead in game one saw Fairfield fight back, but West Noble stayed the course with a 25-20 win in game one, and much of the same in the second as the Chargers held off the Falcons, 25-19, in game two. Game three saw West Noble start hot and maintain, capping the championship march with a 25-13 closer, setting off a wild celebration.
The Lady Chargers (29-3), which won the NECC double this season, are on a nine-game win streak dating back to the Warsaw Tourney.
West Noble will take on Mishawaka Marian in next Saturday's regional round, the time and location to be announced in the coming day by the IHSAA.
Congrats Lady Chargers, let's keep it going!

It was a tough way to end the season, but Bishop Noll proved to be the better side Saturday in the Marian Boys Soccer Regional championship.
Two goals in both halves pushed the Warriors to a 4-0 win over the Chargers, ending West Noble's stellar season.
Joaquin Rosas had a hat trick for Bishop Noll, Darian Araisa providing three helpers as the No. 3 Warriors move on to face No. 1 Guerin Catholic next week in the semi-state.
West Noble closes its season 16-4-1 overall and owners of its seventh sectional title in program history as well as the NECC tournament championship trophy.
Be proud of what you accomplished this season, Chargers!

Leo Lopez slotted home a goal 10 minutes into the second half, and it held up in a 1-0 West Noble boys soccer win at Fort Wayne Concordia Thursday night in the Class 2-A regional semi-finals.
West Noble peppered the Cadet goal all evening, Lopez hitting the crossbar moments later on another challenge and a pair of shots from Joel Moreno and Emanuel Gutierrez were turned away as the Chargers began to unwind the offense.
Ramiro Pedroza was solid in net, making five saves, including a huge deflection in the first half that turned away Concordia's best chance.
West Noble (16-3-1) will head to Mishawaka Marian Saturday at 4:30 p.m. to face either Marian (16-2) or Bishop Noll (14-2-2), which are still sorting out their regional semi-final this evening.

The road to Terre Haute starts in Ligonier. Cross Country will see its state tournament series begin in earnest this weekend as it hosts the West Noble Cross Country Sectional. There's two ways to continue, either finishing as one of the top five teams in the standings, or as one of 15 individuals not on an advancing team. The road is marked, let's keep the Long Blue Line moving.

The brackets are now out for the football sectional, and West Noble will be on the road for round one of the Class 3-A Sectional No. 26 eight-teamer.
The Chargers (7-1) will visit School Field to take on South Bend Washington (0-8). A win against the Panthers will ensure a home game, hosting either Tippecanoe Valley or Jimtown.
Fairfield versus John Glenn and Marian versus Angola make up the other half of the draw. The sectional final is set for Nov. 6.
Let's make some history, Chargers!

It's been quite a run of championships this fall for West Noble, and after a great week of conference showings, we have our first sectional title of the season.
Emanuel Gutierrez pulled off a hat trick and Leo Lopez hammered home the final nail in the coffin of a 4-1 win over Lakeland in the championship of the Bethany Christian Boys Soccer Sectional.
Gutierrez got West Noble on the board early in the first half on a tip in off the goalie's fingers, and after Lakeland equalized midway through the first half, West Noble commanded much of the remainder of the match.
Gutierrez slammed home a penalty to put the Chargers up one, then ripped in his third goal minutes later for some breathing room. Lopez added the icing late as the Chargers claimed its first sectional title since 2023 and seventh title overall.
West Noble will visit Fort Wayne Concordia in the regional semi-finals Thursday evening, with the winner heading to regional finals next Saturday, to be played at Mishawaka Marian.

What a rally! Facing a do-or-die scenario on the volleyball court Saturday afternoon, West Noble handled its presented adversity by rallying from a game down to defeat Lakeland, 2-1 (15-5 game three), to repeat as NECC Volleyball Tournament champions!
Lakeland stunned West Noble in game one of the finals with a 25-21 win, but West Noble answered with a 25-19 leveler in the second.
Seniors Reagan Eash and Izzy Beers were tremendous in the clincher, Eash with three huge kills and a block, her final kill the capper to a whirlwind contest. Beers responded in the third by keeping the service on the Lady Chargers' side for the final nine points of the contest.
West Noble dispatched Fremont and Garrett in the bracket rounds to reach the final, claiming its sixth NECC tournament trophy in program history.
West Noble moves to 27-3 on the season and will prepare for either Tippecanoe Valley or Columbia City in next Saturday's second game of the West Noble Volleyball Sectional.
Way to finish Lady Chargers!

It's championship season and West Noble is harvesting! For the third time in four years, the Chargers are your 2026 NECC Big School division football champions, locking up the title with a gritty 14-7 win at Angola Friday night.
It was 7-0 Angola in the third quarter before Xy'Mire Barnes Bridges found the endzone on a run to tie the game, and in the fourth, Barnes Bridges again reached paydirt to push the Chargers into the lead. Brayden Limerick picked off a desperation Angola pass in the endzone to cap the win, moving West Noble to 7-1 overall and a perfect 4-0 in the NECC Big School division. West Noble won the NECC title in 2025 and again in 2023 in recent vintage.
West Noble, on a seven-game win streak, will host Prairie Heights next week in the regular season finale.
Way to close the deal, Chargers!

It took a little bit to get going, but West Noble volleyball completed an undefeated NECC regular season with a 3-0 win over Prairie Heights Thursday evening. After struggling early in the first set, the Lady Chargers snapped out of its fog to claim a 25-15, 25-15, 25-6 win to finish off a 10-0 conference rampage.
Madi Sitts, one of four seniors recognized on the evening, finished with a career-high seven kills while classmates Izzy Beers and Reagan Eash combined for 10 kills and Darcy Ritchie whistled home four aces.
The win clinches back-to-back regular season titles for the Lady Chargers, which move to 24-3 on the season. West Noble looks to take the lion's share of the trophies as it heads into the NECC tournament this Saturday at Westview.

The Lightning Brigade from West Noble saw its tournament season end Saturday at the Scholastic B Prelims at Plymouth. So that's the bummer.
However, the marching band pulled it's first-ever GOLD RATING at Plymouth and set the standard for its bright future.
Well done to the Brigade on its growth and progress this season, and keep building on this positive result!
