Five first-half rushing touchdowns set in motion an easy night for West Noble Friday night in a 42-0 win over Fort Wayne Concordia in the opening game of the IHSAA Class 3-A Sectional 26 tournament.
Brogan Parks and Xymire Barnes-Bridges each rushed for two scores, Trey Shisler added another running score, and Shisler found Brayden Limerick for a passing score to cap the evening's scoreboard fireworks.

Each group performed three musical selections to showcase the growth they have made this fall in their respective disciplines. The show was led by WNHS music director, Chris Douglas.
The FFA also has been doing community service, and one of their projects was highway cleanup on US 33 near the West Noble campus. FFA advisor Khara Kimmel reported the group was able to pick up over 10 bags of trash to help keep our area clean and respectable.
Well done West Noble FFA!

If you see a driver this week, thank them for the job they are doing to keep our kids safe!

NorthWood played a complete game and proved the better team Saturday night in a stunning 3-1 win over No. 5 West Noble in the championship game at the Wawasee Volleyball Sectional.
The championship is the seventh straight for the Panthers, stifling West Noble's shot at winning its first since 2018.
The Lady Chargers finish its season 29-3 overall, winners of the NECC regular season and tournament championships and finish with the most wins in a season in team history.
Nothing at all to be ashamed of, and the future is bright as the program graduates just two players in Abby Seigel and Beverly Vizcaino.
Good luck to the Panthers as they carry on in the state tournament.
The boys and girls cross country teams both qualified for the regional round after finishing fourth in their respective standings. The boys were led by Graysen Ruch's fifth place finish and the girls had Karla Dominguez finish tenth to lead their charge. Each team will compete at the New Haven Regional held at Huntington University next Saturday morning.
The volleyball team advances to tonight's sectional championship at Wawasee, beating Tippecanoe Valley 3-0 in the sectional semi-finals earlier this afternoon. West Noble will get NorthWood in the championship game, looking to win its first sectional title since 2018.
Game time is at 6 p.m. tonight at the Hardwood Teepee. Be there, and be loud!
Xymire Barnes-Bridges had a pair of touchdowns, and McKale Bottles, Xavier Yates, Brayden Limerick
and Ryan Gross all added a score as the Chargers finish the regular season 7-2 overall.
The Chargers open the Class 3-A Sectional 26 tournament next week in hosting Fort Wayne Concordia.

The Lightning Brigade will have one more performance this fall, set to perform this Friday at the West Noble home football game. Let's make sure we recognize these hardworking musicians one more time this fall!
Special thanks to Moorea Douglas for providing photos from The Rockpile in Plymouth at Saturday's performance.

We had a few chapters come to an end this week, but a lot of doors open as West Noble schools work into the middle of October. Ligonier and Sparta Fire both visited West Noble Elementary, Applied Skills visited Ultrazone, sports continued sporting and nature continued to be beautiful.
It's a great day to be a Charger!

It was a very good draw for West Noble football on Sunday night for the IHSAA football sectional tournament.
West Noble (6-2) drew Fort Wayne Concordia (1-7) in a home game in the first round of the Class 3-A Sectional 26 bracket, set to begin on Oct. 24. A West Noble win would have the Chargers either home against Angola in the semi-finals, or on the road at Tippecanoe Valley depending on which team wins between the Hornets or Vikings.
The sectional championship is set for Nov. 7, and could host depending on the opponent from the north half of the bracket.
The Chargers close out the regular season this Friday, Oct. 17, hosting Prairie Heights on Senior Night.

The opening of the Theatre33 production of 'May The Farce Be With You' is tonight at 7 p.m., also with showings tomorrow night (Saturday, Oct. 11) at 7 p.m. and a 2 p.m. show on Sunday.
Tickets are $7 for students and $9 for adults. There will be cookies and coffee, water and lemonade available as you settle in for a comedic run through some catchy pop culture references as the characters try to figure out life in their own little worlds.
Come out and support our Theatre33 corps, they've put in a lot of time and energy to make this classic story come to life in modern times!

West Noble will take the field at The Rockpile at 11:26 a.m. as part of Scholastic Class B, a four-band group along with outfits from Tri-County, Rensselaer Central and Eastern (Greentown).
Let's go Lightning Brigade!
